Nissan Subscription Service
Nissan has a subscription service that will let you drive a new car every day for $700 a month.
The new service is called “Nissan Switch,” and will begin a test run in the Houston Texas area. Other auto-makers, such as Mercedes, Lexus, and Audi have similar subscription services, Nissan is the first to offer drivers the ability to switch vehicles on a daily basis.
The “Nissan Switch” program will offer two different tiers to members, select and premium. The select option costs $699 per month and offers access to models such as the Altima, Rogue, and Pathfinder.
The premium membership option is a bit pricier at $899, but will allow members to use higher-end models such as the Maxima, Murano, and Armada.
There is an initiation fee of $495 to get you started. In addition to the car subscription, the program also offers “delivery, cleaning, insurance, roadside assistance, and regular maintenance.”
Nissan is making the service tech-focused in accordance with its target audience. Nissan Subscription Service members receive a concierge and the Nissan Switch mobile app which will handle all concerns that users might have.
If you want a car during the week and a truck or 4×4 on the weekend than these plans have you covered.
Nissan thinks that the subscription service will appeal to the younger audience as they like subscription services. There is no long term commitments. This might be a good way to test a bunch of vehicles without purchasing them.
I would not recommend this for people that want to retire early, but if have the money and want the luxury of having the capability of several types of new vehicles this might be the program for you. If you live in Houston Texas you might be able to give the subscription service a test drive.
